Figurative

Inspiration

Most of my figurative painting is inspired by children, particularly my 19 grandchildren.  Their innocence and excitement bring me such joy.  When I'm with any of them, I feel more alive.  My children and grandchildren are the crowning jewels of my life.

Flower Girl Waiting

My 4 year-old granddaughter was tired of waiting during wedding photos.  So, she started swinging on a hand rail for entertainment.

My 3 year-old grandson was playing in a Wyoming park with an airdale.  I snapped a photo just in time to capture their body language.  I had to paint that interaction!

Hang On

I'm tempted to make an oil painting of these little cowpokes.  The smaller one just needs a cowgirl hat.
