Xena's Fantasy

Acrylic, Collage, Ink, Oil on Canvas

My grand dog Xena is a giant English Mastif.  She looks scary but is as gentle as a fairy.  She loves her people and we love her.

Family Tree

Acrylic and Objects on Canvas

This tree represents our family through items from three generations---  marbles that were toys 80 years ago, jewelry from 65 years ago to the present, coins from travels abroad, buttons from 70 years ago, shells from fun at the seashore, and rocks from trips to the mountains.  We are all connected.

                                                Out of the Storm

I was experimenting with yarn, ribbon, gauze and acrylic paint. It turned into a mysterious man.

Contemporary Venus

Gilbert Visual Art League members were challenged to try something totally different from our previous art.  I decided to design an art piece that makes a social statement about the pressures and challenges of being a woman today.  The piece is a play on the famous work Venus De Milo.  The clock in the right upper corner ticks away the seconds of a woman's hectic life.
